Pablo A. Haya received the bachelor’s and master’s degrees in telecommunications engineering from the Universidad Politécnica Madrid and the doctoral degree in computer science engineering,
and telecommunications from the Universidad Autónoma of Madrid, in 1999 and 2006, respectively.

He is the head of the Business & Language Analytics (BLA) group at the Instituto de Ingeniería del Conocimiento (IIC). BLA is focused on providing solutions that analyse individual and social human behaviour by means of state-of-the-art technologies such as Natural Language Processing, Social Network Analysis, and Machine Learning.

Currently, his researcher interests include computational social science and human-computer interaction with a particular focus on their application into social media and technology-enhanced learning. He has published more than 70 journal papers, book chapters, and conference proceedings in these areas including venues like the British Journal of Educational Technology, the Computers in Human Behaviour, the International Journal of Human-Computer
Studies, ECTEL, IEEE ICALT, and IEEE FIE.
